While we appreciate everyone's efforts to make charity quilts, we are getting some quilts that we have a problem placing.  In order to make it easier for everyone to understand what is needed, we offer the following guidelines:
  1. Please make a quilt that you would give to someone you know. We don't care that it is scrappy, we love scrappy, but do the scraps go together?  If you are using fabrics suitable for adults, please do not add children's fabrics and vice versa.  It should be apparent if it is for an adult or a child.
  2. If it is an adult themed quilt, it needs to be at least 45 inches on all sides. These are used for lap robes and smaller ones are difficult to place.
  3. Please make happy quilts.  They are going to people who are not in the best of circumstances.  A cheerful quilt can go a long way to brighten someone's day.
We want to thank everyone who makes a charity quilt.  We are always amazed at how generous our guild is when there is a need.  Barbara and Charlotte

Turn your fabric scraps into a cozy and useful dog bed.

Just make a pillowcase (or smaller) envelope and fill with cut up fabric and batting scraps, sew the open end closed and you are done. Turn your finished dog bed in to Barbara Faulkner and she will find it a good home. She will also accept bags of scraps. Please be sure to include only clean fabric or batting - no hard or sharp objects.

Make a dog happy!
